Etou waiting it out

Junior Etou

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Junior Etou isn't rushing his college recruitment. In fact, he's not close to a college choice. He'll decide after his senior season.

Junior Etou, one of the top available post prospects in the 2013 class, will wait until after his senior season to make his college commitment.

Etou told Scout.com at a showcase at Georgetown (Ky.) Scott County this past weekend that he currently has scholarship offers from Clemson, DePaul, Miami, Memphis, West Virginia and Maryland.

"I have a lot of schools, but I'm not going to make a decision until the end of the season," Etou said.

So why wait?

"I didn't play last season because of a foot injury, so I just decided to wait until the end of the season," Etou responded.

The 6-foot-7 power forward out of Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell is planning to take some visits in the near future, including an official visit to Clemson.

"I'm going to take a visit next month to Clemson," Etou said. "I'm also going to take a visit to Maryland and probably DePaul."

Etou said through the recruiting process, he's developed strong relationships with two schools.

"Clemson the head coach calls me a lot and Miami they keep in touch with me all the time and I think we have a really good relationship," he said.

A three-star prospect, Etou is ranked as the No. 29 power forward in the 2013 class.
